Friends of Patterson Park has been caring for our neighborhood park since 2002, and we have big plans for 2020! Our Amplify goal is to raise $5,000 so that we can continue making improvements to our park and supporting community events that bring neighbors together.

In 2019 we hosted eight community events, including a National Night Out potluck, Easter Egg Hunt, and a celebration of that year’s playground expansion and park improvements. We also partnered with the Austin Parks Foundation on two volunteer work days to mulch our heritage oak trees and plant new trees.

Our goals for this year are to repair and add to our athletic facilities, and to keep building community connections. We want Patterson Park to be an even more welcoming destination for our East Austin neighbors to play, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.
